Make Better Brownies than the Box

Extra Tips

I love to bake and eat these brownies, once you measure out your ingredients they’re incredibly fast to make. With a 20-30 minute bake time you can clean up the kitchen by the time these bad boys are done.

If you like a fudge-ier brownie I highly recommend baking these in a disposable foil baking pan. I don’t know the science behind it, but the pan you buy from the grocery store in a three-pack makes far superior brownies than any glass or metal cake pan I’ve tried. If a more cake-like brownie is your thing then go for an aluminum or glass cake pan.

Again on the fudge v. cake, texture the longer your cook time the drier your end product. Once the 20 minute mark hits I like to watch the top of the pan from the oven window. While you don’t want raw brownies, I find that when they’re teetering on being finished it’s best to pull them out sooner rather than later – which can also be said for other things in life 😉

If you want to get creative consider adding nuts, peanut butter chips, peppermint bark, or any other ingredient that you think will pair well with chocolate. The addition of chocolate and white chocolate chips was inspired by my all-time favorite cookie from Deer Valley that I would get after a day of skiing as a kid. So make these your own – it’s half the fun of baking!

These chocolatey delights can be brought into the office in the tin with a knife for people to cut and stake their own claim. But if you’re looking to jazz them up a bit, I like to cut them (in squares or shapes) and wrap them up in clear celo-treat bags. A 5×7 inch bag is a good and versatile size to have on hand and can be easily ordered on Amazon.

An example below – I attached brownie hearts to homemade Valentine’s cards this year because you can’t beat the nostalgia of construction paper and puff paints.
